VERY RARE , PETRIFIED piece of
FRUIT, SALT PEAR from
the Nevada Black Rock Desert
This was found by my father, who was an active rock collector, in the 1950's
The pear is almost completely turned to salt.
If you hold it to the light, you can make out what appears
to be the seeds inside the pear.
This is a freak of nature that has
kept me thinking how did this
turn into salt and how did it get
out in the middle of a salt flat?
The only part that is not salt is the stem.
